Woodlands Leeds Wedding | Hannah and Matt

Woodlands Leeds wedding venue is a favourite of mine and I was really looking forward to returning to photograph Hannah and Matt’s wedding there.

The Calverley Arms

Hannah, her mum and lovely bridesmaids had stopped at The Calverley Arms the night before, enjoyed a meal and a couple of drinks at the 19thcentury inn and got ready in two spacious rooms there. Hair and make-up was well underway when I arrived with MUA Kelly from Muse Make-up studio and Dani and Su from Hair La Mode in Yeadon. Soon Matt’s beautiful daughters arrived to join in the fun, along with a stunning Tiffany love knot gift from Matthew to his bride. A family friend was responsible for Hannah’s amazing bouquet of David Austin roses, as well as the matching bridesmaids bouquets.

St Peters Church, Rawdon

Hannah and Mathew opted for a Church ceremony at the beautiful St Peter’s Church in Rawdon, not far from The Calverley Arms. Hannah and her bridesmaids arrived in style for the ceremony in two Mercedes and a vintage Beauford wedding car for the blushing bride and her mum.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds were congratulated and covered in confetti outside the church before April showers started so we made our way to the Woodlands Leeds wedding venue to continue the celebrations.

Woodlands Hotel

Woodlands Hotel is a boutique Victorian hotel on the outskirts of Leeds city centre, benefitting from both an exquisitely decorated elegant rooms and the romance of a marquee, set in beautifully landscaped gardens.
When Matt and Hannah had arrived, the rain had cleared. Once they had both had time to catch their breath, we commenced with the group shots in a sheltered spot as it was still a little chilly.
A couple of the guests made use of the swing ball and space hoppers on the lawn before the wedding breakfast.
Hannah’s brother Rob gave an emotional speech, followed by Matt, who surprised his daughters as they were to join them on honeymoon. The girls were absolutely delighted.
After the meal, we took a walk in the grounds for some romantic couple shots before the bride and groom met their evening guests.
Thanks to Katie, my second shooter for the day.
