As I am based in Yorkshire, the majority of my work is at Yorkshire wedding venues. Here is a selection of my favourite rustic Yorkshire wedding venues.
At East Riddlesden Hall, the grounds are beautiful whatever the time of year with several different gardens, the historic Hall and the rustic barn buildings. The Airedale Barn which is where the weddings take place offers a huge flexible space and always looks amazing. I love the huge variety of spaces and the team are always amazing to work with and flexible to allow you to make your wedding as unique as you are.
There are not any other wedding venues I know of in Yorkshire that include Medieval Ruins, suits of armour and a beautifully restored Chapel. It offers a great backdrop for your wedding day with loads of unique character. I love the Chapel for wedding ceremonies as it has the traditional charm that a church offers with out the religious affiliation. If I was looking for a wedding venue, this would definitely be a contender.
Oakwell Hall is another unique rustic Yorkshire wedding venue with the beautiful grand hall for your wedding ceremony, the huge grounds for your wedding photographs and the barn for your wedding reception. If the weather isn’t quite on your side, the Hall has some pockets of beautiful light for indoor photographs.
The Chapter Hall at Northern Monk Brewery is a beautiful space to hold a wedding reception. The venue is a restored industrial mill with exposed brickwork in the Holbeck Urban Village area near Leeds city centre. If you hold your wedding reception at a brewery, you are guaranteed not to run out of beer! I love the architecture in this area, especially the red bricks.
I am yet to photograph a wedding at the Chilli Barn but have tested a lot of the food at the Cheerful Chilli and it is always amazing! I often walk in the woodland area opposite the Chilli Barn and would love to photograph a couple in the woods on their wedding day.
