I first met Jo and Joe not long after their son had been born and they were just planning their wedding day. We discussed their day and timeline and I was looking forward to working at Priory Cottages wedding venue as this would be my first visit.
When I arrived at Priory Cottages, I soon found the cottage Joanne and her bridesmaids were getting ready in. Say Yes to the dress were filming as Jo had purchased her dress from the bridal boutique Ava Rose Hamilton, who are working with Gok Wan for a new series. The dress was amazing with lots of detail on the bodice and a fantastic ruffled train.
As Joe and the boys were in another of the cottages getting ready, I was able to pop between the two during morning prep.
The ceremony took place at All Saints Wighill Church. A Norman Church not far from the Priory Cottages wedding venue. The wedding bus took the groom and his family, the guests and lastly the bride and bridesmaids to the ceremony.
The bride and groom had some pictures in the grounds of the church before returning to Priory Cottages for the wedding breakfast and celebrations. Joe’s two best men gave a cracking speech about their time on the same football team and the stag do to Vegas.
After the first dance, the party kicked off with the dual celebrations of Jo and Joe’s wedding day as well as New year’s eve. I think it’s fair to say that there were a few sore heads the next day!
Thank you so much for having me to photograph your beautiful Priory Cottages wedding.
The fabulous Natasha from Natasha Jane Events styled the venue and provided seasonal wedding flowers. I am looking forward to seeing the new series of Say Yes To The Dress. The film crew were a really lovely bunch of people to work with.
