Holdsworth House Wedding | Natalie & Martin

Natalie and Martin booked me to photograph their wedding at Holdsworth House in Halifax such a long time ago that it was really lovely to meet up for their engagement shoot a few weeks before their wedding and learn more about their plans for the big day.

When I arrived at Holdsworth House, Natalie and her bridesmaids were still at the hairdressers, so I had a wonder around the beautifully manicured garden. Holdsworth House has a fantastic garden, an ideal backdrop for a drinks reception and wedding photographs.

Getting ready

Natalie and her bridesmaids got ready in one of the rooms overlooking the gardens. Her beautiful, energetic flower girl joined in with the ladies and kept everyone entertained with her dancing.

The wedding ceremony was full of laughter, and took place in the The Abraham Brigg Room, followed by celebratory drinks in the gardens.

Holdsworth House

Holdsworth House is an historic Jacobean manor and four-star hotel in West Yorkshire and an award-winning wedding venue.

Natalie is a huge Disney fan, which echoed throughout the wedding, from the stickers on her shoes, to the beauty and the beast cake and plenty of hidden Mickeys.

The wedding breakfast

The wedding breakfast was set out in The Stuart Room, starting with the speeches. Natalie’s father of the bride speech came with an envelope for each table containing printouts relating to his speech. The finale to which was a model of the brand new car she had borrowed from him and badly scraped, complete with a scrape mark!

Evening Reception

After the wedding breakfast, we went outside for the couple portraits before Natalie and Martin got ready for their evening reception in the Stuart Room.

The bridesmaids took to the dance floor before the first dance took place and the party got started.

Huge congratulations to Natalie and Martin, it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of your laughter filled day.
